This weekend marked the third annual Texas Yoga Conference held at the University of Houstons Campus Recreation and Wellness Center. Over the course of 3 days, hundreds of yoga instructors, advanced practitioners and total newcomers to the yoga movement came out to soak in knowledge from some of the most sought-after instructors worldwide.

According to founder Jennifer Buergermeister (of Jennyoga), the purpose of the Texas Yoga Conference is to "bring community together in the promotion of yoga as a way of life." Buergermeister was especially excited about this years event as it was held at her alma mater. TYC outgrew its previous home at the University of St. Thomas and nearly filled the U of H recreation center this weekend. The only thing missing, says Buergermeister : "More beginners.
